Designer Biography: Taiwo And Kehinde Of Okunoren Twins
Taiwo and Kehinde; the duo which make up The Okunoren Twins were born in 1983 in Lagos Nigeria, to Kunle and Abiola Okunoren. Their mother, Abiola was a fashion designer and drawing inspiration from her in addition to the demand for English dressing which was prevalent in the 80s, the twins entered the fashion industry at the young age of 19.
to eradicate the problem of ill-fitting badly tailored suits, the boys were inspired to make custom-made suits for their clients who wanted their clothes made to size, making them pioneer makers of bespoke suits for the average Nigerian at a time the Nigerian fashion industry was still at infancy.

19 year old Nigerian designer Jason Samuel, creative director of Jason Porshe clothing co. enlisted some of the Nigerian entertainment’s favourite models such as Nollywood actor Alex Ekubo, 2007 Mr. Nigeria Bryan Okwara and Victor Kwen alongside others, to showcase his latest designs which tell a progressive story about the English/African man & woman at his debut at the Native & Vogue International Fashion Week 2013 which held in Port- Harcourt.
