NETPod: ‘Come to me’ – D’banj and Sarkodie

D’banj and popular Ghanaian rapper Sakordie have hooked up for an international collabo titled ‘Come to me‘.

The Nigeria-Ghanaian music combination proves to be worth the effort as both acts deliver melodious verses. D’banj also impresses with his vocals on the chorus and keeps the lyrics simple yet worth singing along to.

Nigerian singer Justina Ogunlolu is thanking her stars and happy to still be alive after suffering a near-fatal car accident.

The auto-crash, according to her reps occurred three weeks ago, in the early hours of Sunday, May 27, 2012 on a road trip in Germany as she and her band members were driving to a show in Munich.

Justina’s reps say her Swiss manager Jake ‘swerved off the road, crashed into multiple cars, and somersaulted severally ‘which left the singer sustaining severe injuries in her pelvic girdle area and spine’.

There was however no death reported.

The ‘Omo 2 sexy’ singer is said to have been flown back into Nigeria where she’s now recuperating.

Justina, the first runner up at the 2007 Nokia First Chance Talent competition debuted with her ‘Omo 2 sexy’ hit in 2008.

She recently released a set of new singles and a video for ‘So tempting’.

Good looking movie producer Daniel Ademinokan(who moved from being an ordinary movie producer in lagos to one of the richest single men in abuja with properties running into hundreds of million of naira) is having it hot at the moment with the gossip medium agog with the story that he is about to wed actress stella damasus

The movie producer who is officially divorced from Actress Doris Simeon since Febuary 2012 was upset when we called him in New york(Where he was premiering his movie) to ask a few questions.

Daniel also categorically denied that Actress Stella Damasus was the reason his marriage failed.he said''between Doris and I we know what went wrong,thats all i can say''

Stella and I work together and have the same production company. We Work together and If they cannot respect the fact that we are just working then its a shame.

...There's nothing like that at all. The thought has never crossed my head.I work so freaking hard burning sweat to keep my head and family in one piece. Only for people to just sit and be making up stories.

This is for the records stella and I are not lovers, we are not engaged and we only have a business working relationship please.

Drake denies any involvement in the Chris Brown night club fight

Drake, through his reps, has denied any involvement in the fight that took place at a nightclub in NYC last night that left Chris Brown with a gash on his chin...

Drake is adamant ... he is not responsible for the bloody gash on Chris Brown's face ... claiming he was simply leaving the nightclub when the brawl broke out ... but sources tell us, the fight started after Chris Brown and a rapper at Drake's table started trash talking each other.

The rapper hanging with Drake -- Meek Mill -- was screaming at Chris and Chris was giving it right back to Meek Mill. One of Chris' lieutenants was also involved in the screaming match.

DKM stands for D'Koko Master Records and Kayswitch is the only artiste signed to the record label for now. Heard a few more artistes will be unveiled in the coming months.

D'Koko Master Records will be officially launched in Lagos at a concert that will feature D'banj, Kayswitch and other DKM artists.

And contrary to popular reports that Davido is signed to D'banj's label, I can confirm to you that it is false. Davido is signed to his own record label, HKN Records. He's only doing some musical collaborations with D'banj

Nigerian Appointed First Black Police Commander In London

52 year old Delta State born Victor Olisa (pictured above), a UK-based Nigerian and a Chief Superintendent with the London Metropolitan Police has been appointed the first black commander for Bexley local council in London, one of the three chief superintendents from black minority ethnic background working for the Metropolitan Police.

University of Lagos renamed Moshood Abiola University of Lagos

The University of Lagos was today renamed The Moshood Abiola University of Lagos by President Goodluck Jonathan. The president made the announcement early this morning during The Democracy Day Nationwide address.

But don't they already have an MKO University? Students are right now protesting outside the school premises and have even moved to Yaba. Most roads around that area are blocked

Ono’s Diary: The Access Bank CEO Awards
Last Saturday, I sincerely had the pleasure of attending one of our biggest advertiser/supporter- Access Bank PLC CEO Awards.

The very grand event was held at the Expo Hall, Eko Hotel & Suites,Victoria Island Lagos. It was to celebrate excellence in the Access Bank Group.

As for my outfit, I wore a fushia pink one shoulder Issa London dress with cut-out detail at the back by Brazilian designer Daniella Helayel and sparkling jewels: precious stone large stone vintage brooch, cocktail ring form Butler & Wilson and Swarovski crystal bracelet.

I decided to colour block a bit with a pair of electric blue satin sandals and clutch bag both from Dune.

It was so much fun hanging with one of my coolest friends Lanre DaSilva Ajayi and her younger sister Femi.

The only thing I was not so happy about with the evening was not winning one of the three brand new cars that were given away in the lottery; International football star Osaze Odemwingie clearly had unlucky fingers with picking the right winning tickets! Lol… Plus I didn’t receive one of the cool Access Bank gift bags that had a Samsung Galaxy Tab….Oh well, enough of the venting here.

The Nigerian representatives at this years Big Brother Stargame reality show Chris and Ola have returned to Nigeria after voluntarily asking to quit the show.

The duo arrived at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos from South Africa on Tuesday, May 22, 2012.

Chris and Ola shocked millions of viewers on May 18, 2012 when they disclosed to Biggie in the Diary Room that they were willing to leave, the reason being that Ola who suffers from High blood pressure issues was advised by his doctors to seek help outside the house.

Seems so. A LIB reader sent me a mail last week telling me that he saw D'banj at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport wearing a 'F**k you Don Jazzy' blue T.shirt. I asked for a photo but he didn't have any, so I didn't bother using the story because it's kinda hard to believe without a photo, right? But a reporter has just confirmed to me that he also saw D'banj at the airport that same day wearing the blue T.shirt with the words boldly written in front of it. He said when he asked one of D'banj's people why the inscription, they laughed it off as a joke...

I don't know if it's a serious relationship but there's something definitely going on between these two.

D'banj was in Ghana over the weekend for the Vodafone event that held on Friday May 11th and on Sunday May 13th, he pulled a Kanye. :-)

Y'all remember Kanye went to the set of Kim's photo shoot to support his girl some days ago? Well, just two days ago, D'banj was on the set of a movie being shot in Ghana, not as an actor, but to show support to his lady love, Nadia Buari, who's the lead actress in the movie titled Single and Married, produced by Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson.

My sources exclusively told me that D'banj was in a mansion where some scenes were being shot, for over two hours. And in between takes, Nadia would go sit with him and they'd talk for a while. D'banj eventually left, and a few minutes later, Nadia followed in her car.

This one na reliable eye witness report o, so believe it...:-). BTW, D'banj is in town. He came into Nigeria yesterday.
